Commonly known as CLUG, this is a non-formalised grouping of people who identify with (some of) the
Linux kernel, the
GNU project,
Open Source software, and the Canterbury region of New Zealand. The interests of the members are varied but the focus of the group can probably be gleaned from the answer to the question
What is on topic in the mailing list
Despite an active mailing list and regular meetings (generally in Christchurch), CLUG has no formal membership, and operates on a volunteer basis. In that spirit, this website is a
Wiki, which can be edited by anyone. See ThereIsNoCLUG for some history and explanation.

Feel free to sign up as a new user and start editing things. Just concatenate your names, e.g. JoeSmith
, and use the Sign In textbox to the extreme bottom right of this page. If you are not already known to the system an identity will be created for you. No fuss with passwords! (see UserNames for more info). Even if all you do is fix mis-spellings, tidy up presentation, or provide overview index pages, you're being helpful. If you don't like the organisation of the site, make up an alternative and pop it alongside the current one. May the best pages live!
